Research field - Quantum systems (materials and devices) based on advanced materials and/or photonics.
- Techniques for electronic lithography (e-beam) and UV & Laser photolithography for nano and microstructured materials and photonic chips.
- Fabrication, structuration, microscopy and characterization of thin films and other twodimensional functional materials.
- Low-dimensionality materials, nanostructured, inhomogeneous and disordered, and optical metamaterials (photonic crystals, ...)
- Ion exchange techniques in vitreous and crystal media to ellaborate optical devices and photonic chips (optical integration) for comunications, sensors, optical vortices, astronomy, ...
- Quantum photonics based on optical fibers and optical guides and integrated devices for quantum information technology (quantum cryptography and computation). High and low temperature regime.
- Optical metrology using standard, holographic and electronic speckle (ESPI) interpherometry, for scientific, industrial and biomedical applications.
- High- and low-temperature superconductors. Magnetic, thermal, electrical and optical properties.
- Criogenic devices and superconductor-based systems: fault current limiters, photonic detectors, ...
- Electrical, magnetic, optical and low temperature measurements of superconductors and other functional materials.
Technology services - Growth, and characterization of thin films systems (sputtering, vacuum coating, etc).
- Ligth, ionic and e-beam litography.
- Systems for measurements of electric and thermal transport and magnetic (including SQUID technology) properties between 0.5 and 300 K and under magnetic fields up to 16 Tesla.
- Interpherometric characterization of optical and mechanical properties of materials and objects.
- Fabrication of high and low Tc bulk superconducting materials (polycrystal, single crystal and textured).
- Prototypes of devices based on superconductors (fault current limiters, etc.).
- Micromasks fabrication for microelectronic and/or optics.
