Doctor of Biological Sciences from the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela (USC), professor of the Department of Plant Production and Engineering Projects at Escola Politécnica Superior de Lugo (USC) He has taught since 1989 in gardening, landscaping and ornamental plants at the Polytechnic University of Lugo at the University of Santiago de Compostela in first, second and third cycle qualifications. INIA Fellow at the Agricultural Research Center of Mabegondo (1985-1989). Its research work and its publications focus on the ornamental plant sector for gardening and landscaping. He has participated / directed national and regional projects, and projects in collaboration with companies. They emphasize their articles on the evaluation of native Galician legumes, on propagation of ornamental woody species, the characterization and evaluation of substrates in the propagation and production of ornamental plant, and on urban woodland. Revisioned in the journals: Journal of Tropical Forest Science, International Journal of Ecology, Journal of Forestry Research and Scientia Horticulturae. It belongs to the research group: GI-1651 Integrated production and mycorrhization of crops. Books of teaching content: Plantation design (2007), History of Xardinaría and Paisaxismo (2009). Shared authorship: Botanic route for the campus of Lugo (2012), Hazardous tree risk assessment (2012, award Juan Julio, 2013) and Urban tree risk: context, concept and evaluation (2016).
