My research activity deals in general terms with silviculture. In particular, I have studied the response, in terms of growth and mortality, of forest stands to silvicultural treatments, modelling these responses. I have also done some research in relation to climate change mitigation possibilities related to forestry: carbon sequestration, biomass production and short rotation energy crops
